This is what you get with a beenie hat that is too small for her little noggin... She does love to be outside like the rest of us, it is just so cold!
She is enjoying this walker but can't keep up with her brother who does loops around the car on his bike.
Here she is pulling up on our beloved elephant. Not soon after this she fell and scabbed up her nose and face. Now we have her contained so she doesn't get into so much trouble.
She loves to carb load on cherios and kix cereal. But here is her scabbed nose.
I know this is late in explaining, but we just went last week to Reagan's cardiology appointment and it went over great! She didn't really want to hold still for the Echo of her heart (like a sonogram) so one of the techs tried to clown around for her so she would focus on him. Then we turned on a TV, I fed her and well, she still squirmed. The measured the hole in her heart and watched blood flow and pressure through that same hole and compared stats with results from 4 months ago. At this time there is no ballooning required, (this is to stretch open a little wider the repairs that they made at 7 days old). That was good news. So what it means is that all parts of the heart are growing with her as she gets bigger through development. Other good news is that the hole looks like it may be shrinking. The blood flow and pressure measures less than before and we could see the hole shut completely. Wonderful!!! Also in the visit they said that we may now remove Reagan from all of her heart medications. Yippee! She is still on some acid reflux medications, but that is no indication of heart issues but rather her under-development of throat muscles and parts; ie: vocal cord paralysis and such. I mentioned to the doctor that we had stopped thickening her formula, but they advised me this was not a good idea because she could be silently aspirating and getting infections without my knowledge. So, we are back to thickening her feeds. She does eat table food so that has helped tremendously with her feeds. All in all, it was a fabulous appointment and we are spacing out the next appointment a little further. GREAT! Just wanted to update everyone! She is a good 18 lbs and wearing 12 month clothes because she is so tall. She is getting bigger and stronger ever day! Next we hope to tell you that she has no more issues and just annual visits. Until next time.
