Update on Trent

Bright-eyed and bushy tailed!

So interested in his activity!

Hmmm!

Is this a smile?

I know you have had enough, but I am practicing with a new camera and he hasn't smiled on que yet.

Friday of last week, we went in for Trents second flu shot and it must have been the worst vacine yet!  He has been sick ever since and with a miserable cough!  It isn't whooping cough, but it is ugly!  His eyes get real red and swollen from rubbing and just being miserable!  I know he is fine and it has to run its course, but it takes so long!  I know he is having a hard time breathing so we have put him in the swing and then last night I slept on the couch to be near and suction him out and lather him with Vicks.  He is a trooper and still grins and flirts with whomever will smile at him while he is in the carrier.  Cutie pie!  Oh and he is a good solid 20 lbs and almost the same weight as his sister.  He is breaking some teeth up top so we will see some soon.  Right now though, to add to the mess of snot is mounds of drool.

Last Weekend... Kellogs was here.

Most of you already know that there is a big story with these pictures.  I am sorry to say that I am wiped out and on my way to bed so you will have to wait for that story.  Enjoy the pics and I hope you come back for the whole scoop.

Okay:  The whole scoop.  The Kellogs Co. has shown interest in Casey.  His story is unique in that he is an amputee, a US service member, a Paralympic Track and Field medalist and continues to support the community and volunteer as an ambassador in many areas involving sports and the disabled as well as again, the military.  Anyway, as we are quickly approaching the Olympics as well as Paralympic games, Kellogs has, as an Olympic sponser, chosen to run some footage of Casey.  Whether it is a commercial or a documentary or a sound bite, I am unsure.  It was rather rush rush here and we were swept up in their adgenda that I am unsure what is going to come of all their reality bits of filming here at the house, of the kids and family and such.  We had to sign waivers for all three kids since all were on film.  Anyway, here are pictures that I got of just moments of what was going on, where I was not running with a crying or agitated child.

They came at 6:30 AM, (yes, we were still in bed... They told Casey and I both seperately 7:30AM, Saturday morning) to shoot morning routine (which DOES NOT normally begin at 6:30AM) and our family having breakfast of none other but Kellogs.  Casey went up to get all 3 kids up and changed their diapers and the crew was waiting down at the bottom of the stairs.  (Really?!)  Okay, so I hid and tried to put some clothes on and get ready to make breakfast, which I didn't think would be Kellogs, but bacon and eggs and pancakes or something with fruit.  I didn't even have time.  They scooped up the kids from Casey and set them down at the table and shot all the kids scooping cereal out of their bowls and Reagan making the biggest mess of milk all over.  I hoped it was believeable, since they asked Taylor on film if he normally eats cereal and he said something like:  "No, my mom doesn't let me because it has too much sugar~"  At least he isn't a liar!

This picture catches the enthusiasm of Taylor who LOVED, did I say LOVED being on camera!  There were so many guys that they sent some out just to play with Taylor while we were interviewing and such.  Reagan and Taylor sat on that ottoman and interviewed just like the Duggar children do for their reality show.

We had a break for lunch since most of the men had very loud grumbling tummies and they wanted to move on.  There was still equipment like this on the front steps of the house and in the driveway.

Lunch time for them.  All over the kitchen and outside.  They were nice!

They wanted to play some hoops with a gold medal athlete.  They played horse when they had a minute.  Then when some of the guys came out with Taylor they played other made up games that Taylor wanted to play.  Like:  throw the ball through this and jump backward and clap your hands type of thing.

I took this right before I took the kids to Walmart to get out of their hair.  We were all exhausted but Taylor was a good boy and I got him some legos so he could play quietly inside while they were supposed to film inside.  When we came home everyone was gone and the gear was packed up.  Casey didn't come home until 6 or 7 PM.  We were pooped and went to bed early and thanked eachother for understanding that we had each had enough!  In all, while they were here we shot a commercial (over and over), Case did a phone interview with CBS, then he did something with a news crew at a track and had to memorize lines.  All I can say is I am sorry for the reality show stars!  We really need an agent!  Ha!

My Handsome Stud!

Here is my strongly devoted stud!  He is being chaperoned by one of the studs in training.  Hey good-looking!  Look at those guns!  I am sure there will be some competition down the road on who can do the most pull-ups or bench press the most weight.  Oh boy!  Anyway, I need to hurry up and join them in the fitness area... I have gone soft!

GROSS!

So, we are all sick and tired around here.  That is pretty much how we have been since Trent was born.  It is our season of sickness.  Hopefully, next year we will all be healthy and happy and stronger than anything!  Anyway, Reagan, being with fever and sick snotty face for the last couple of days has been on meds to help her feel better.  Since then, she hasn't been able to go to the bathroom.  Well, today was the 5th or so day and I felt bad for her!  I gave her prune juice everyday with Taylor and finally just helped her along with some Miralax this morning.  Nothing happened.  Then, just now, both Taylor and Reagan were bathing and Reagan poo'd in the bathtub.  Gross!  So, we moved them to the shower and well, you don't get anymore story, just disgusting... we are busy now disinfecting.

We are sick, but we went to the circus, then we slept the rest of the day...

Snow-Cone sugar high!

Sick but she had a blast!

Mommy, showing her missing tooth... Nah, just sitting with the kiddies...

Fun with some really good performers.

They were so strong!  WOW!

On top of a table, none-the-less.

Yeah, my favorite, the elephants.

Wow!

Hoorah!

Balancing...

This was choreographed so nicely to a lullaby.

Really, men in neon pants?!  Okay.

Three motorcyclists and a lady dangling in the middle.

If you look under the boards is a man.  Casey and I felt sorry for him since he had many shows to do.

They actually drove right over him.  Then it was all over.

Daddy with Little Miss.

Random, we ran into a little girl who went to school with Taylor.  They were right in front of us.  The kids rotated throughout the whole show where they sat.  It was crazy, so much so, that Taylor took a nap and forgot that he even went to the Circus.  I had to remind him and then he said he wanted to go every morning.  Okay, monkey!  Whatever...

Really?!

This past Wednesday, I put Taylor in his quiet time and wished him a good time.  I told him that I wanted him to read or do something with himself because I have caught him sleeping and I would rather him go quickly to bed at night then stay up until the wee hours.  So, after he informed me he didn't want to read I asked if he would care to do Spiderman marker-by-number.  Oh that would be great, mom, or something to that effect is what he said.  So, I thought it would be great.  After only 30 minutes, this is what came out of quiet time.  He said, "the timer rang mom, I am done with my quiet time."  I think I was shocked but just said, "what did you do?  Did it get anywhere else?"  He just said no.  I really didn't know what possessed him to do this, but thought wow, we are going backwards!  So, now we are sticking to books, mini legos, books, blocks and maybe next time I will give him the etch-a-sketch.  I asked him if he was giving himself tattoos.  Thankfully, he said no, but really why did he do it?  That remains a mystery!

Because she is full of energy! Doesn't it make you laugh?!

We are sick at home, but this is right before it got pretty ugly.  Now we are all congested and have some fever.  We do try to get on with ourselves, but Taylor was just saying how he was achey and neither Taylor nor Reagan ate at all tonight.  Well, we will be starving tomorrow, or at least ready for something, I am imagining.  Anyway, here is Reagan, she snuck into Trent's gimmick and Taylor was tattling on her.  I thought it was funny, so here it is for your viewing.
