State to Mom: Stop Baby-Sitting Neighbors' Kids - ABC News

State to Mom: Stop Baby-Sitting Neighbors' Kids - ABC News

Click on above link, NOT the TITLE of this post to view the article. I was blown away! As a mom myself, what, with Casey deploying and events or appointments that I have to attend to I need help as do other moms. I consider this sharing favors! You regularly swap care! What is the big deal! Anyway, I just couldn't believe that another neighbor had a problem with it either! The mother said that the 4 week time frame even applied to regular playdates too. Um... I just don't know what to say.

Friends reunited...

We had such a good visit with our friends! Taylor really enjoyed seeing his longtime friend and I got to see my friend and catch up and laugh, it was so nice!!! I loved it! I got to see the baby who won't be a baby for much longer... Wow! How time flies! I am so very sad that as much time as these two had together that we can't continue to live near one another and laugh at how similar and yet how different they are becoming! I did have the best time in San Diego with my mom group! All the kids loved each other! Lucky for us moms we loved each other too! But to my friend Christina, I miss her the most! Hannah... (Luciana) as Taylor calls her, is greatly cherished in Taylor's book! We often talk about her and look at the pictures where they are playing together. Hope you all like the video! There are pictures too so be on the look out!

Paralympic Camp

This was really fun! We went out to meet Casey and see what the camp was all about. Taylor made everyone laugh when he ran out in the middle of a tennis match! Oops! I failed on my mommy duties! Casey ran out and got him and then Taylor wanted to play so bad. Casey let Taylor play until lunch and Taylor couldn't get enough! Unfortunately, my photography is poor in most of the pictures! I know you will still get a kick out of his enthusiasm in playing sports and being with his daddy! It definitely was fun to watch! After Taylor made a friend with a little girl and they played bounce the basketball. That was fun too! He is total boy!

Aiken Makin Craft Festival & Food!

I know that I am a bit behind and some of what I will be posting will be out of order, but i digress... Sometimes I am so tired that posting just doesn't seem relaxing and I would rather veg out! What a complainer I sound like! Anyway, this was a fun festival and they had some good food! Casey had to work that weekend with the Paralympic Committee in a local Y disabled camp. Taylor missed his daddy but was so distracted by the horse and the other animals there that it didn't matter! We wanted to get a funnel cake but they were so doggone big that I couldn't see wasting it! They had some really nice stained glass and wood workers as well as potters and jewelry crafters there. There were quilts and such and Christmas ornaments. It was a blast! All the people watching made for some interesting sights!!! I even saw a hairless dog! Strange! They had face painters there but I don't know how well that would have gone so we skipped that. The town is in South Carolina and just a short drive really up the highway. What a great weekend!

Some random things today...

Too Open I just can't believe this! Can you?

Did you see Miss Virginia shaved her head for Breast Cancer awareness? She raised $50,000, go girl!

There might be water on the moon~ Now they can build a community up there! Okay, so who is willing to take a job there?

Did you read about the "BANK OF AMERICA IN HOT WATER OVER SC FLAG FLAP"? BRANCH MANAGER REPORTEDLY ORDERS REMOVAL OF FLAGS PLACED TO HONOR FALLEN MARINE

A South Carolina Bank of America branch is drawing criticism Thursday after an employee reportedly ordered the removal of American flags placed to honor a fallen Marine over fears that people would be offended. The Palmetto Scoop received one eyewitness email claiming that the branch manager at Bank of America’s Gaffney branch at 1602 West Floyd Baker Blvd. “told a citizen who was preparing the route for a U.S. Marine killed in action in Afghanistan by placing small American flags along the roadway that the flags might upset some of her customers.” Said the outraged tipster, “[The branch manager] took them down and made the citizen go in to get them if she didn’t want them thrown away.” The flags were part of the funeral procession of Lance Corporal Christopher Fowlkes, 20, who died last week after an explosion in Afghanistan’s Helmand province.

Nothing more to share. Oh wait... did you hear about the man who got arrested for his 5th DUI. He was asked if there was a reason he was riding his motorcycle naked? Hahaha!

People are strange!

Helping cook!

He can't read yet, but he has done well in getting all the right ingredients we need for this meal. The only thing is that he almost used up all the pepper when I wasn't looking for his own dish.
He loves to stir up something when I am cooking. Sometimes I give him dried beans or rice... he loves it! One day he will cook for us! I can't wait!
Here mom. I am done with this, will you put it away?

Thankfully, Taylor is a big helper. He doesn't just help with cooking, he loves to help bring dishes to the sink, unload the dishwasher, take clothes out of the washer or dryer or transfer them. He thinks he can help fold clothes but that is not his specialty and I end up having to refold. He is a good boy! I think we will keep him! Hahaha!

More gym time,

Taylor is really good at waiting his turn but he always asks if he can do this again. Sorry buddy, class is over and everyone only gets one turn.
Yeah! There is a hint of a smile!
Taylor loves to hang and swing. He is supposed to do a chin-up on the uneven bars when we start class but I missed that picture opportunity.

Oops this is a bad one. Sorry!

Taylor loves gymnastics!

Some of the pictures are not of the best quality, I was really sad about that! It was hard to take pictures since I was helping assist in most of the activities and the lighting was poor. Also, I am such a novice... anyway,
Here is Taylor racing the other kids through the foam pit... I think he enjoys letting the girls go first... tee, hee, hee...
He is having a ball, as you can see!
Taylor loves to practice this at home... we don't have a trampoline for him, but none the less, he jumps feet together, feet apart... and we practice since he doesn't keep his body straight over, and over and over.
Taylor loves to jump on his own but falls down, and laughs... luckily, his coach is really nice and tries to get him to focus a little bit.

Taylor is watching a little girl as she jumps. He is the newest one to the group but the coach says he does really well at most of the tasks... She also says that he is so serious!
