We have found a great park, which on a hot day gets a bit congested! This is a park right next to the library, down the way from us. The library itself is fantastic with a cafe/bistro inside with a theater as well. Taylor is doing the reading program so I will enter 30 books that I have read to him by July something and he will receive a free book. He loves to be read to. Anyway, there is a track that surrounds a lake and 2 playgrounds with this fun water area. Taylor was a little distracted and didn't want to play on the playground since he was hot and most of the kids seemed like they were having way more fun running in the water so Taylor wanted to join in. At first he was very hesitant because the water was really a bit chilly. Then he got used to it and didn't want to leave. We are living out of our suitcase, so unfortunately I didn't have a bathing suit for him. Oh well, it wasn't much of a big deal but some of the older kids kept asking him the reason for his being dressed in his clothes. I laughed at the formality of the kids asking... Who cares... Anyway, everyone knows that they get stripped down at the car anyway so that is what we did. We had a blast! Thought you all might like to see where we have been spending our time. We are lucky to have such a fun park so close! Perfect!
Beautiful area. I miss you and Casey and Taylor! How was the movers, is everything in place? Has Taylor met any playmates?
ReplyDeleteYes, Taylor met a couple kids but we haven't seen them again. We have been kind of couped up. Cleaning and organizing is our life right now. He did have fun at the church we went to but sadly we will be trying others so he hasn't got a gang of friends yet.
