Christmas 2008
Just some highlights from our Christmas this last year. We had a great Christmas Eve and Santa made a visit which was so much fun! T was dressed in his Christmas outfit and looked like an elf! He helped daddy pass out gifts which were hiding in the house because I was completely blown away and had no idea that Santa had even come! Wow! T had loads of fun opening his presents and took his sweet time ripping slivers, teeny tiny slivers from a package at a time! He would rip a little and then hand me it and rip a little more and then hand me it. He wanted to play with everything immediately which meant that he wanted us to open the boxes, put things together, load toys with batteries, and the such! He received a rocking chair from his Mimi and Papa and just fell in love with it the instant I put it together for him! He now sits in it with the phone to his ear or a book or his sippy cup. Just like a big boy. He also got a big tricycle which he enjoyed ringing the bell and sitting on the back pushing with his feet until he ran into the furniture and had to be turned around. He got a tractor and puzzles and books and cars and you name it. He got clothes and bowling set and so many things that he just loved! It was so fun for us to witness his pure excitement with each thing! Great fun for all of us! Christmas day we went over to a Christmas dinner at a friends house. We potlucked it and it also was a blast! All the kids played and got all their energy out which was perfect! All of the adults mingled guzzled beer and oohed and ahhed at all the dishes to which we would all swap recipes later. We had a couple of huge play dates and more friends which kept us busy and full of activities. After the new year, grandma and grandpa from Bakersfield came and we did more Christmas. So we just kept the season going for a while. We didn't decorate much this year just a small Gingerbread house which will be a tradition we can enjoy as a family. Other than that we didn't decorate anything else. That made clean up a breeze! Anyway, just thought you all might want to see our Christmas of 2008.
